Are you a new parent?
Are you a seasoned parent but want to learn more about development?
Do you think your child is on track but you want to be sure?
Do you feel like your child is so close to mastering a new skill set but that they just can't seem to get it?
Do you want to give your child a boost in their development?
Is your child struggling at daycare?
Does your child participate best in an environment they are familiar with?
Are you busy and in need of PT that comes to you?
Does your child have a condition that places them at risk for potential illnesses when leaving the house?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, we can help!
We specialize in providing evidence-based physical therapy services that are adapted to your specific goals for your specific child. We do not take a one-size fits all approach to therapy!
Initial Evaluation: All of our plans start with an initial evaluation. At the initial evaluation, Erin will discuss your child's history, your goals for your child, and finally assess your child's gross motor skill sets. We will discuss what milestones your child has achieved and what milestones to work towards achieving. We will then collaborate with you to create a custom plan to "move" your child along their milestones!
Follow Up Sessions: We will continue to follow up and work with you and your child to achieve what have now become not only your goals for your child, but our goals for your child! Follow up sessions timing and frequency will be determined by each family's individual needs. Follow up sessions will be play based and routine driven to match each child's individual needs!
Not sure what to expect from your little one?
We can help take some of the guess work out of parenting. In these sessions, you and your child will learn how to connect cognitive and motor skill sets through play.
We will focus on how skill sets build on each other and how to prompt your child to develop these skills.
Not having fun in tummy time?
Let’s talk. Together we will discover why your baby may not be enjoying tummy time and how we can make this experience enjoyable.
Even less fun with sitting?
We still got you. You are not alone. We will show you the tips and tricks (as well as things to avoid) to make sitting up the gateway to even more milestones!
Want to set your child up for success?
Make a plan that will make success inevitable.
In these sessions will discuss:
Habit building
Routines for parent and child
Designing environments to promote development
Go to toys (as well as toys to avoid)
Family activities
Fitness activities
Do you feel like development is a roller coaster?

We have experience working with children with many developmental and medical differences.
Some of these include:
Brachial plexus injuries
Cerebral palsy
Development delay
Down syndrome
Impaired coordination
Muscular dystrophy
NAS
Orthopedic conditions
Prematurity
Plagiocephly
Spina bifida

Other developmental and genetic conditions
"Erin truly has a passion for what she does. Her cheerful attitude and hands-on approach to issues shows how much she cares for her patients. She helped us incorporate different techniques into our daily life to help correct my daughter’s developmental delays. In just a few months I saw significant changes! I would highly recommend her."
"My child has advanced so much! We truly attribute a significant part of her development to Erin’s amazing influence. My daughter is less than three and she now works out with the college softball girls (my husband is the coach). It is such a joy to see her engaging in activities with so much enthusiasm. Erin made all the difference in the world for her development. Erin’s insights and guidance were spot on, especially about my daughter having a BIG personality – She couldn't have been more right! I am so thankful for everything Erin has done and contributed. Her impact has been immeasurable. We are forever grateful!"
“My son struggled with torticollis, with the help of Erin and her PT expertise we were able to improve his neck function rather quickly. We were able to work with Erin to completely correct the torticollis, as well as meet several developmental milestones. Erin was a joy to work with, set clear goals, gave us exercises to practice between visits, and was great at communicating. I would absolutely recommend Erin to anyone!”
“Erin was wonderful to work with! She was very thorough with my daughter and made the visits fun! She helped not only my daughter, but us the parents as well showing us different exercises and activities to do to help her walk. Erin gave us the tools we needed to help our daughter walk and I'm so grateful we had the opportunity to work with her! I would recommend her to everyone!”
Have a friend or a group of friends with the same questions as you?
We can make this a party. Group sessions are available upon request!
Do you accept insurance?
We actually do not accept insurance! We do this because we have found that insurance companies get in the way of allowing us to provide the best possible care. We accept cash, personal checks, and credit cards.
We can provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance company as Out of Network reimbursement; however, this documentation will not guarantee you reimbursement. We recommend calling your insurance company to explore potential options.
Where are you located?
We come to you! For initial evaluations, we require that a parent or guardian is present so that we can develop a plan based on your goals together. Afterwards, sessions can take place at any location as long as an adult is accompanying the child.
Does my child need a referral?
If your child has a developmental delay or medical condition affecting their mobility, we recommend a physician referral after the initial evaluation and before the start of treatment sessions. We recommend this because it opens the door for communication between you and all of your child's healthcare providers. Team communication and collaboration is essential in providing the highest quality of care.

At Moving Milestones, we believe that we all move forward when we all work together.
Below are some community resources that share our vision.
CDC's Developmental Milestones
These milestones come with two footnotes!
If your child is not meeting one of these milestones, that means that 75% of children their age have already reached that milestone. When this occurs, we highly recommend getting a jumpstart on addressing the delayed milestone! Not addressing each milestone has the risk of causing further delays down the line that become more difficult to overcome. No matter where your child is along the spectrum, we can help move them forward!
Not all developmental milestones are covered by the CDC, even key ones such as crawling.
Children's Rehabilitation Services (CRS)
We highly recommend checking out this resource if you have a child with special health care needs in the state of Alabama! CRS is part of a statewide system that is designed to support children and their families.
Our speech + language therapy, occupational therapy, feeding therapy, and lactation counseling partners in the Birmingham area. We work closely with Megan and Lindsey. They also work in the comfort of your home, daycare, and even virtually in the Birmingham-metro area.
